OF UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH OF ROANOKE
TOPIC:
INTRODUCTION AND DISCUSSION OF
“LIVING GAY IN A RELIGIOUS WORLD”
The purpose of GPS (Gay Perspectives on Spirituality) is for gay men and their friends to meet in an informal manner to learn and discuss how homosexuality fits (or doesn’t) into our major world religions. We will also explore what inspires us and comforts us in different theologies. Our hope is to obtain guidance along our individual spiritual paths.
We will meet every two weeks. The first hour we will have a guest speaker, representative of a particular religion, speak for a brief period, and then have discussion afterwards. There will also be a time for general, ecumenical centering and meditation.
Our second hour will be a social hour which will include food and beverages, activities, games, i.e. things to get to know each other better. For more information contact: Ben at 540-816-9595 540-816-9595 or Assad 540-580-5908 540-580-5908 . Please visit us atwww.gpsmeetup.com
